What do these topics have in common besides they are each individually horribly boring to 99% of the population?

These are all successful eBook or information product topics created by "amateur" sellers on eBay. Even the most remote "niche" topic can find a buyer if the audience is big enough. With eBay the audience is MASSIVE. WACKY info SELLS on eBay!

Remember the beauty of selling info products is that you keep about 95% of the price as pure profit. There is no shipping if you sell downloadable information. Even if you burn CD's or DVD's the price to create your product is nominal compared to the income opportunity.

Looking for your own unique niche idea for an info product?

Here are some ideas:

Using Amazon.com

Look at best sellers lists on amazon.com. If a concept sells well there it will likely sell on eBay as an info product. Don't spend too much time on the top 10 sellers. Drill down a bit for the good ideas.

To browse the various top seller lists from amazon.com use the drop down list in the upper left hand corner of the homepage. Look for the "SEARCH" prompt and select "books" from the list. Next, click "go". You'll see all the categories of books each with its own top 100 selling books list. That's a great tool for searching out ideas.

Once you find an idea simply research it, test it (more on that in a moment) and begin selling it on eBay within days! I've told you about these ideas so many times that I won't go into more detail here...read my book and old newsletters for details

DRILL DOWN
Let's get nichey! (sounds like an "Old Navy" commercial doesn't it?)

Don't be afraid to DRILL DOWN to a smaller, more passionate niche audience! Examples of drilling down are subjects like "how to put horseshoes on a horse", or "how to build a skateboard ramp", or "how to build a play house for a cat". Those are all REAL topics and they are each quite successful info products on eBay.

Some related topics that likely wouldn't have done as well as the info products above are the broader topics that don't appeal to the passions of the "die hard" enthusiasts. For example, consider these POOR topic choices: "The history of skateboarding" or "Why you should own a cat". Those are topics that are already common knowledge among the "die hard" fan of each topic and they are too general to get a fan interested.

What results should you expect if you find a good niche topic?

In some cases remote topics are bringing the info-preneur over $1,000 each week JUST on eBay. Notice I said info-preneur and I didn't say "author" because you don't have to necessarily write to get an info product of your own. You can record your voice, interview an expert, create a video etc. The options are limitless and the skills you lack can be bought cheap any step along the way.

STEP BY STEP SELLS
Consider an info product that will be useful for hobbyists or enthusiasts by showing them step by step how to do something. A good friend of mine did this in a word document by taking pictures of the process and writing descriptions next to each image to explain the process. He turned the Word document into a PDF (simple) and he was in business.

KEEP IT SIMPLE
It is easier than ever to create video, audio and appealing graphics, but don't feel like you have to have an amazing look and feel in order to sell an info product. My first info product still sells many copies everyday and has NO PICTURES and only one CHEESY graphic repeated in a few places. It's 20 pages long, but it gives the reader the info they want.

SUCCESS IS CERTAIN
Have a topic that you think MIGHT do well? You'll never know without testing it out first.

Step one: Write your sales letter (keep it simple - that's okay) Step two: Put your sales letter on eBay and see if anyone wants the idea!

In the past I've even created eBook covers (a book image) BEFORE I've written my eBook. I then set up a "mock" 7 or 10 day auction on eBay with a sales letter BEFORE I EVEN STARTED THE BOOK. Next I monitor the interest level by watching traffic and bidders. If there is interest I cancel the auction BEFORE IT ENDS and notify the bidding customers who they will get a free copy of the book once it's finished.

If there isn't any interest after 7 to 10 days I cut my losses and try a new topic. The total time invested is a "losing" idea is minimal using this strategy.

The winning ideas start out as eBay auctions and then quickly move OFF eBay (hidden from competition) to a website, affiliate programs, mailing lists etc...that's more info than you need to get going though so I think I'll cut this article off right here...

Last 2 nights I was very happy with my team,Arsenal.They won their 4th match against the tough team,Man U.I was argue with my friends-Faiz and Kamal..where I said that Arsenal will win this important match but there seems like don't agree with me.They still believe that the home team will win the game.

But,after 3 days of analysis of Arsenal team,I have a strong believe that this team,Arsenal can get their first winning at Old Trafford.Although without Henry and Persie(both are injured),the Gunners still can showed a good football and enjoy playing as a team.

Emmanuel Adebayor netted an 86th-minute winner to end Manchester United's 100 per cent Barclays Premiership record and give Arsenal a deserved win at Old Trafford. :)

BAHASA Inggeris akan menghadapi zaman kejatuhannya dan tidak lagi menjadi bahasa komunikasi utama dunia.

Pakarlinguistik Britain David Graddol berkata, pada masa ini bahasa Inggeris menghadapi persaingan dan bukan lagi menjadi bahasa kedua bagi sesuatu komuniti dunia.

Bahasa Mandarin dan bahasa Sepanyol serta bahasa Arab kini mengambil alih kedudukan bahasa Inggeris sebagai pilihan kedua penduduk dunia selepas bahasa ibunda masing-masing.

Di negara-negara Asia, Eropah dan Amerika Syarikat (AS) bahasa Mandarin muncul sebagai bahasa yang `mesti dikuasai' oleh masyarakat negara berkenaan.

Graddol dalam ceramah yang dianjurkan oleh British Council baru-baru ini berkata, perkara yang sama juga berlaku di Korea Selatan.

Malah di United Kingdom (UK) ada sekolah yang mewajibkan bahasa Mandarin kepada para pelajarnya.

Kerajaan China juga menyokong minat masyarakat dunia mempelajari bahasa Mandarin sebagai bahasa asing atau bahasa kedua melalui suatu rangkaian di seluruh dunia yang dikenali sebagai Institut Confucius yang mula ditubuhkan di Seoul, Korea Selatan pada November 2004.

Institut yang sama juga telah ditubuhkan di Stockholm, Perth, Nairobi dan Washington. Dianggarkan 30 juta masyarakat dunia telah mempelajari bahasa Mandarin dan kerajaan China menjangkakan angka itu akan meningkat kepada kira-kira 100 juta orang dalam tempoh beberapa tahun lagi.

Banyak negara Asia menyedari keperluan untuk menguasai bahasa itu berikutan meningkatkan kepentingan ekonomi di China, contohnya, Korea Selatan kini lebih banyak melakukan perdagangan dengan China berbanding AS, katanya. Dalam pada itu satu lagi pesaing terdekat bahasa Inggeris ialah bahasa Sepanyol namun peningkatan jumlah petuturnya banyak berpunca daripada peraturan yang diluluskan oleh sesebuah negara.

Contohnya Brazil, salah satu negara baru ekonomi yang penting di luar China dan India telah meluluskan satu undang-undang pada Julai tahun lalu yang mahu semua sekolah menengah di negara itu menawarkan kursus bahasa Sepanyol, sekali gus membenarkan pelajarnya memilihnya sebagai alternatif kepada bahasa Inggeris.

Kekurangan guru dan buku teks dijangka akan berlaku berikutan penawaran kursus itu kepada sembilan juta pelajar sekolah menengah di seluruh Brazil, katanya.

Peningkatan kepentingan bahasa Sepanyol amat jelas di beberapa bahagian Amerika Selatan seperti Trinidad dan Tobago yang mengisytiharkan pada tahun lalu bahawa negara itu mahu menjadi sebuah negara yang masyarakatnya mampu bertutur bahasa Sepanyol menjelang 2020.

Sasaran negara itu ialah sekurangkurangnya 30 peratus kakitangan awam mahir bertutur bahasa berkenaan dalam tempoh lima tahun. Sementara bahasa Arab dilihat antara bahasa dunia yang paling cepat berkembang dan menjadi persaingan kepada bahasa Inggeris berdasarkan keluasan demografi.

Malah peranan media seperti Al-Jazeera yang kini dapat diikuti oleh masyarakat dunia turut mempengaruhi minat masyarakat dunia untuk mempelajari bahasa berkenaan.

Dalam pada itu Graddol semasa melancarkan buku barunya yang bertajuk English Next berkata, walaupun kemampuan menguasai bahasa Inggeris pada suatu ketika dahulu dilihat sebagai suatu kelebihan kepada seseorang tetapi kini menguasai satu lagi bahasa adalah suatu kemestian.

Bukan maksud saya mengatakan bahawa mempelajari bahasa Inggeris tidak lagi penting kerana ia masih lagi bahasa yang luas digunakan di dunia tetapi penguasaan satu lagi bahasa juga penting, katanya.

Graddol juga menegaskan pelaksanaan bahasa Inggeris kepada sesuatu mata pelajaran atau kurikulum di sekolah contohnya dalam Matematik dan Sains memerlukan tempoh yang lama untuk melihat kesannya.

Minimum antara 20 sehingga 30 tahun diperlukan bagi memastikan kejayaan penggunaan bahasa Inggeris dalam pelaksanaan itu kerana ia perlu kajian, pelaksanaan yang sistematik serta berperingkat kerana ia melibatkan bahasa, katanya.

Hari ini hari yang agak membosankan buat aku.Tak ada apa yang nak buat hari ini selain menonton movie hindustan kat tv2.
Lepas aku tgk tv,aku pi jogging..Tapi tak sampai 10 minit dah x larat..Mungkin sebab dah hampir sebulan aku tak pi jogging.
Mulai esok,aku kene pi jogging tiap2 ari,kalo x pancit nanti mase main bola..:)

Lepas aku jogging,aku duk tgk budak2 main bola kat dpn rumah diorang..kat jalan raye..jalan raye tak lah sibuk,so memang sesuai la main bola..

Bile aku tgk diorang main bola,teringat aku mase aku main bola ngan adik aku mase kecik2 dulu..bukan main best..tiap2 ptg mesti main..best giler..

Lepas maghrib,aku pi mkn kat rsu.mkn nasi ngan ayam goreng..mase aku on the way ke rsu,aku nampak seorang bapa dan anak(umur dalam 7-10 tahun) duduk bersila menghadap masing2.Rupa rupanya ayah dia bagi ceramah kat anak dia.Dah lama aku tak nampak situasi ni zaman sekarang..

TANGGAL 31 Ogos yang merupakan tarikh keramat bagi rakyat negara ini wajar menjadi peringatan kepada bangsa Melayu tentang kedudukan kita di bumi berdaulat ini.

Jika dilihat dari sudut ekonomi, ternyata pencapaian orang Melayu masih lemah jika dibandingkan dengan bangsa lain. Tiada jalan lain untuk mengatasinya melainkan orang Melayu itu sanggup melakukan jihad ekonomi.

Setiap mereka harus membina kekuatan ekonomi diri dan keluarga masing-masing. Kejayaan di peringkat inilah yang akan menyumbang kepada perkembangan pengukuhan ekonomi bangsa Melayu. Jadilah satu bangsa yang memerlukan satu peluang sahaja untuk membuktikan kemampuan diri dalam apa juga bidang yang diceburi.

Buat usahawan Melayu pula jadikanlah perniagaan sebagai medan untuk memartabatkan bangsa.

Alangkah hinanya bangsa Melayu itu jika mereka (usahawan) yang dianggap penjana ekonomi Melayu terus gagal dalam perniagaan dan kegagalan itu disebabkan oleh kelemahan diri sendiri seperti keengganan untuk mengubah sikap. Mereka wajar menganggap kegagalan tersebut sebagai pengkhianatan kepada bangsa.

Begitu juga hakikat yang wajar dirasai oleh semua orang Melayu yang terus bergantung kepada bantuan kerajaan untuk mencatur kehidupan walaupun pada hakikatnya mereka berkemampuan untuk berdikari.

Mentaliti bahawa kerajaan akan membantu jika mereka susah yang telah lama bertapak harus dihakis segera kerana adalah menjadi satu keaiban besar buat orang Melayu jika mereka masih gagal untuk berjaya di kala bangsa lain terus maju walaupun tanpa bantuan pihak kerajaan.

Di samping itu orang Melayu janganlah jadi seperti enau di hutan yang melepaskan pucuk masing-masing. Kesanggupan untuk bekerjasama dengan bangsa lain atas alasan bangsa sendiri tidak berkebolehan adalah satu sikap yang akan membawa kemunduran bangsa sendiri. Adakah itu yang dimahukan oleh orang Melayu? Pastinya tidak. Berilah peluang kepada rakan sebangsa dan buat mereka yang diberi peluang jadikanlah ia sebagai pentas terbaik untuk membuktikan kemampuan.

Setelah 49 tahun merdeka, orang Melayu juga masih belum mampu menjadi bangsa ilmu. Masih sukar untuk melihat orang Melayu mendominasi bidang akademik. Berita-berita kejayaan anak Melayu masih jarang didengar dan jika ada, pasti akan dirayakan dengan penuh kemeriahan. Itulah bangsa Melayu, satu bangsa yang begitu dahagakan berita kejayaan anak bangsanya.

Kini mungkin telah tiba masanya untuk orang Melayu merenung di mana silapnya sehingga jumlahnya yang ramai masih belum mampu menjadikannya yang terbaik. Orang Melayu sebenarnya masih gagal untuk menjadi satu bangsa yang benar-benar hebat ilmunya.

Apakah puncanya? Adakah kerana kealpaan ibu bapa dalam merancang masa depan anaknya? Mungkin benar dakwaan itu kerana kebanyakan orang Melayu sememangnya boleh merancang dan berjimat cermat untuk membeli harta benda tetapi apa yang menyedihkan terlalu sedikit di antara mereka yang membuat perancangan terperinci masa depan dan pendidikan anak-anak mereka.

Sebahagian besar orang Melayu bagaikan melepaskan tanggungjawab untuk menanggung perbelanjaan pendidikan anak mereka kepada kerajaan. Sememangnya wajar kerajaan memberi bantuan tetapi biarlah kepada mereka yang benar-benar memerlukan.

Hari ini begitu banyak program bercorak hiburan dihidangkan kepada masyarakat. Sebahagian program tersebut adalah program berkonsepkan realiti televisyen yang mana semakin menjadi kegilaan masyarakat terutama golongan remaja. Keadaan ini pastinya membimbangkan kerana orang Melayu bagaikan leka dan terus dibuai angan-angan bahawa kejayaan itu boleh dicapai menerusi jalan singkat.

Sebenarnya tiada jalan singkat untuk berjaya. Sekiranya bangsa Melayu ingin menjadi bangsa berjaya ia harus kembali kepada landasan sebenar membina kemajuan iaitu ilmu pengetahuan. Lihatlah sekeliling, apakah orang Melayu itu masih berpegang teguh dengan ajaran agamanya atau semua itu telah goyah. Sesungguhnya keruntuhan moral yang dialami oleh kebanyakan anak muda Melayu hari ini amat mendukacitakan.

Bagaimanakah bangsa Melayu ingin membina satu tamadun jika ilmunya lemah dan akhlaknya rendah.

Sesungguhnya tidak ada tamadun yang terbina hasil daripada hiburan tetapi banyak sudah tamadun yang runtuh akibat daripada kerendahan ilmu, kelekaan dan hiburan keterlaluan.

Oleh itu usaha untuk mengisi kemerdekaan dan memastikan kemerdekaan itu dapat diwariskan kepada generasi akan datang pastinya memerlukan perancangan rapi. Acara sambutan hari kebangsaan bersifat hiburan harus dinilai semula dan segala usaha untuk memperbanyakkan aktiviti bercorak pengukuhan kefahaman dari aspek sejarah dan perjuangan harus terus digembleng.

Orang Melayu harus peka kedudukannya dalam segala aspek. Mereka perlu merancang, melaksana serta memantau setiap objektif dan strategi yang digubal sebaik mungkin kerana dengan pendekatan sedemikian kedudukan bangsa Melayu itu dapat dikenal pasti dan terus ditingkatkan.

Dasar-dasar dan perancangan yang telah dibentuk harus dikemas kini dari semasa ke semasa dan didukung dengan penuh rasa tanggungjawab.

Kurikulum pendidikan negara perlu terus diperkemas. Penekanan dari aspek character building kelas pertama harus dipupuk dari peringkat pra-sekolah lagi kerana pendidikan yang diterima oleh satu-satu generasi itulah yang akan mencorak pentadbiran mereka semasa memerintah negara di masa hadapan. Dengan kata lain keperluan kepada satu sistem pendidikan berpandangan jauh dan diyakini oleh setiap lapisan masyarakat adalah amat penting.

Wajibkan semua anak Melayu mendapat pendidikan di sekolah yang sistem pendidikannya dibentuk oleh bangsanya sendiri. Sesungguhnya orang Melayulah yang lebih tahu tentang apa yang terbaik untuk bangsanya.

Dengan kata lain usaha memperkasakan ketuanan Melayu memerlukan perancangan yang strategik. Pemimpin negara, pemimpin parti politik dan para sarjana Melayu harus duduk semeja mengkaji, merancang, melaksana, memantau dan menilai pencapaian bangsa Melayu itu secara komprehensif.

Melaka city in Malaysia will host the International Conference on Manufacturing Science and Technology 2006 (ICOMAST-2006) - to be held from 28 to 30 August 2006.

The main aim of this conference is to bring together researchers in academia and industry to present creative and novel research finding, and to facilitate discussion and interchange of ideas. Papers are welcome that cover the complete range of manufacturing process and techniques as currently practiced in machining science and technology research.

30 selected papers will be published in a special edited issue of the International Journal of Manufacturing Technology and Management, (Inderscience, UK).

Another 10 selected papers, in expanded version, will be considered for publication (as full-length research papers) in Machining Science and Technology An International Journal (Taylor & Francis, USA). The selection is subject to full review and revision.

Arsenal have rejected a bid from Atletico Madrid for forward Jose Antonio Reyes.

Vice-chairman David Dein confirmed the offer for the 22-year-old Spain international had been turned down by the Gunners, and suggested Reyes may stay at the Emirates Stadium this season.

“They have made an offer which has been rejected,” Dein told Sky Sports News.

“He is an Arsenal player and may very well remain an Arsenal player.”

Atletico president Enrique Cerezo had earlier confirmed Atletico’s firm interest in Reyes.

He stated that Atletico had lodged “an important offer” for Reyes and denied his club would have to offload any players to finance the deal.

Reports in Spain said Atletico had made a bid for Reyes in the region of £8.1million.

However, Arsenal were reported to have placed a higher price tag on the Spaniard, who has expressed his desire to return to the Primera Liga.

After 2h and 30min doing the 'Buckling of Struss' experiment,my whole body feeling very tired.Not just me,but my groupmates also feel the same.Why not,we have to use all our strength just to loose the screw.I don't know why the screw are very tight.3 people tried to loose it but what we get??After 45 minutes,we only manage to open 1 screw.Another 1 screw to go..

Proton mesti teroka enjin biodiesel

INDUSTRI bahan api berasaskan biofuel di Malaysia cukup berpotensi kerana segala kemudahan dan galakan sudah tersedia untuk tujuan ini. Proton sebagai peneraju industri automotif negara perlu mengambil langkah drastik untuk mencuba sesuatu yang baru sebelum ketinggalan dalam arus automotif dunia.

Ketika pembuat kereta seperti Ford dengan Turiusnya, Toyota dengan Hydbridnya dan Volkswagen serta Audi dengan TDInya yang semakin teguh dalam pasaran industri biofuel ini, Proton tidak harus terlalu bergantung kepada enjin petrol kerana harga minyak semakin meningkat.

Pelaburan dalam sektor bahan api berasaskan biofuel terutama biodiesel perlu diberi keutamaan dalam rancangan jangka masa panjang. Pengguna dan pembeli akan mula mencari alternatif baru untuk mengurus wang mereka dengan baik terutama bagi menjimatkan kos minyak.

Tidak mustahil dalam masa lima hingga 10 tahun nanti, sekiranya Proton tidak berwaspada, kenderaan berasaskan biofuel akan mula membanjiri pasaran tempatan. Kemampuan dua pembuat kereta iaitu Honda dan Toyota mempunyai kilang pengeluarannya sendiri di Malaysia, pasti akan mempercepatkan lagi proses ke arah itu.

Kemampuan penghasilan Envo 5 oleh Lembaga Minyak Sawit Malaysia (MPOB) dan rakan memberi petanda awal industri ini akan berkembang pada masa depan. Hanya kerjasama rakan teknologi seperti Proton dan Hicom bakal menentukan nasib kesinambungan industri biofuel negara.

Banyak sekali syarikat luar mengintai peluang untuk menjalinkan kerjasama dengan agensi biodiesel negara. Lawatan kerja oleh Mitsubishi Corp ke MPOB baru-baru ini harus membuka mata syarikat automotif tempatan untuk mengambil peluang ini. Hanya kerjasama erat antara di kalangan industri akan membantu sasaran dan harapan kerajaan memajukan Malaysia sebagai negara berprestasi tinggi dan mesra alam.

Statistik terbaru Agensi Tenaga Kesatuan Eropah, mendapati 3.9 juta tan biofuel dihasilkan tahun lalu, meningkat 65.8 peratus berbanding tahun sebelumnya. Perangkaan ini sebagai satu petanda sihat terhadap penggunaan sumber tenaga alternatif pada alaf baru.

Namun, masih ramai kurang pendedahan mengenai penggunaan biofuel. Malah, ramai sering terkeliru definisi biofuel dan biodiesel.

Pada asasnya biofuel adalah kata nama yang mewakili kumpulan baru daripada pelbagai jurus tenaga alternatif seperti tenaga suria, tenaga hidro dan angin iaitu tiga kumpulan tenaga yang wujud sejak sekian lama.

Pengenalan istilah biofuel ini berkait rapat dengan sumber yang digunakan dalam penghasilannya. Biofuel berasal daripada gabungan dua perkataan Inggeris, iaitu ?biologi? dan ?fuel?. Penggunaan istilah biologi merujuk kepada sumber dan unsur semula jadi yang berpotensi menjadi sumber tenaga, seperti tumbuh-tumbuhan, haiwan dan jisim gas tertentu.

Di Eropah dan Asia, biodiesel lebih banyak dihasilkan berbanding ethanol manakala di Amerika Syarikat, ethanol lebih mendapat tempat di kalangan penyelidik dan pelabur.

Dalam aspek teknologi misalnya, penggunaan enjin diesel di Eropah lebih dominan berbanding penggunaan enjin otto dan di Amerika, penggunaan enjin otto yang meluas menjadi pemangkin perkembangan industri biofuel berasaskan etanol. Kedua-dua jenis enjin ini diberi nama sempena nama dua jurutera Jerman yang mereka bentuk enjin berasaskan diesel dan petrol.

Jika dilihat dari aspek geografi dan sumber alam, di benua Asia misalnya, penanaman kelapa sawit yang meluas di Indonesia dan Malaysia menjadi pemangkin kepada industri biodiesel yang semakin berkembang hari demi hari. Galakan kerajaan dan sektor swasta juga turut sama merancakkan lagi industri biofuel di seluruh dunia.

Secara ringkasnya, industri biofuel terbahagi kepada dua bahagian utama. Pertama ialah industri biodiesel dan kedua ialah industri etanol. Biodiesel pula boleh dihasilkan melalui dua kaedah.

Kaedah pertama mencampurkan diesel dalam peratusan yang besar dengan minyak sayuran asli dalam peratusan yang kecil. Kaedah kedua, biodiesel boleh juga terhasil dengan campuran minyak sayuran dengan peratusan yang besar dengan diesel dalam peratusan yang kecil.

Industri bioetanol dihasilkan melalui proses disitilisasi yang seterusnya dicampurkan dengan petrol. Campuran ini yang lebih dikenali sebagai flexi fuel, boleh digunakan sebagai bahan api dalam semua jenis enjin petrol yang melalui modifikasi tertentu.

Eropah adalah pengguna biofuel terbesar berbanding rantau lain. Pelbagai insentif dan galakan diberikan oleh negara Eropah kepada pemain industri biodiesel ini. Tidak kira daripada individu hinggalah kepada syarikat bertaraf multinasional.

Sebagai contoh kerajaan Jerman mengenakan cukai bahan api yang sangat rendah kepada biodiesel. Ada juga negara di Eropah mewartakan biodiesel sebagai bahan api alternatif yang akan diterima pakai sebagai bahan api nasional pada masa depan kerana biodiesel adalah bahan api yang bersih dan bebas daripada pencemaran.

Penyelidikan dan pembangunan teknologi biodiesel baik dari sektor bahan mentah itu sendiri dan juga sektor pembuatan enjin berasaskan biodiesel sehinggalah kepada sektor sokongan, galakan padu daripada kerajaan adalah pemangkin kepada kepesatan industri biodiesel di Eropah.

Pengeluar kereta di Eropah seperti Volkswagen dan Audi adalah syarikat yang begitu aktif membangunkan enjin diesel dwifungsi. Sokongan daripada vendor seperti Bosch dan Denso yang turut tidak mahu ketinggalan dalam industri ini, mempercepatkan lagi integrasi biodiesel dalam enjin kenderaan diesel komersial.

Di sinilah letaknya kunci kejayaan dalam industri ini. Kejayaan dalam mengkomersialkan biodiesel sebagai bahan api komersial sikit masa nanti pasti akan membawa pulangan cukup lumayan, setidak-tidaknya mampu menarik minat dan hati pencinta alam sekitar untuk menggunakan kereta berasaskan biodiesel.

Apa yang pasti kelainan biasanya mendatangkan kejayaan. Inilah perkara yang Proton boleh pelajari. Proton selaku pembuat kereta nasional perlu memikirkan masa depan hidup mati mereka. Kebergantungan kepada industri automotif arus perdana saja, pasti tidak akan ke mana.

Semakin hari banyak sekali model baru dikeluarkan oleh pembuat kereta dari Korea dan China yang menawarkan harga lebih kompetitif malah kadangkala lebih murah pada pandangan pembeli.

Proton perlu berani membuat perubahan memulakan langkah menceburi industri bahan api alternatif. Penghasilan enjin berasaskan biodiesel dapat mengembalikan maruah Proton sebagai pengeluar kereta nasional.

Penyelidikan dan pembangunan dalam bidang baru ini pasti akan membawa keuntungan pada masa akan datang. Bekalan bahan api biodiesel berasakan minyak sawit dan diesel boleh didapati daripada pasaran domestik.

Tidak perlu diperkatakan lagi akan industri biodiesel Malaysia. Negara kita kini terkenal di seluruh dunia kerana mampu menghasilkan 3 hingga 5 juta tan penghasilan minyak kelapa sawit setahun. Sebagai antara pengeluar minyak sawit terbesar di dunia, industri biodiesel di Malaysia dilihat mampu berkembang pesat.

Peluang inilah yang seharusnya dimanfaatkan Proton untuk bersama-sama terjun dalam pembangunan dan penyelidikan yang dimulakan oleh agensi kerajaan seperti MPOB dan Institut Penyelidikan dan Kemajuan Pertanian Malaysia (Mardi). Kedua-duanya menawarkan pusat penyelidikan bertaraf antarabangsa. MPOB sebagai agensi yang dipertanggungjawabkan untuk industri biodiesel ini, sudah semakin terkehadapan seiring dengan agensi penyelidikan lain di dunia.

Saban tahun banyak sekali hasil kajian biodiesel yang berprestasi tinggi dibentangkan.

Proton perlu mengambil peluang yang ada di depan mata dengan membuat perkongsian pintar dengan agensi terbabit untuk memajukan industri biofuel negara.

Kerjasama di antara pusat penyelidikan Proton dan juga agensi biodiesel negara pasti akan membuahkan hasil yang menguntungkan rakyat dan negara.

Monday..is a boring day for me..I have to study for tomorrow's examination.For me,the Mechanics of Materials subjects is an interesting subject but I did not understand the subject.Maybe it's difficult????Em,dunno...

After 7 days of holiday,I do nothing.But,at least last Wednesday and Saturday,I and my family went to the Nasi Kandar Restaurant.I think about 2 years or maybe more I didn't have a lunch there.I think no purpose I go to KL just for Nasi Kandar,but that day,I got something to do.So,when the lunch time come,why not go there and have the Nasi Kandar??

Mampukah IPT lahirkan pemimpin?

DIJANGKA ribuan para graduan yang berjaya menamatkan kursus masing-masing akan dinobatkan sebagai siswazah. Jumlah ini menunjukkan bahawa peluang pengajian di peringkat tinggi masih lagi menjadi tuntutan dan pilihan utama para pelajar lepasan matrikulasi, Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) atau Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM).

Dari satu segi, ia menunjukkan bahawa institusi pengajian tinggi masih lagi relevan dalam memperoleh kepercayaan masyarakat tentang kepentingannya dalam membina masyarakat berilmu. Ia menggambarkan kesedaran orang ramai mengenai pentingnya pendidikan untuk meraih masa depan yang cerah dengan berbekalkan segulung ijazah yang diiktiraf. Ia diibaratkan sebagai nadi kehidupan mereka dalam mengharungi hidup.

Kelibat ibu bapa yang kelihatan tidak putus-putus melirikkan senyuman bangga dan puas dengan pencapaian anak mereka amat jelas terpapar. Nasihat dan kata-kata semangat tidak pernah luput di bibir mereka sebagai pemangkin untuk anak-anak dalam mengharungi kehidupan kerjaya selepas ini.

Anak-anak yang memperoleh keputusan cemerlang diibaratkan seperti menjulang kejayaan keluarga apabila tersenarai sebagai salah seorang graduan universiti. Dan bagi yang kurang cemerlang, janganlah merasa hampa sebaliknya haruslah lebih berusaha dengan gigih untuk mencari peluang lain yang ada. Janganlah hanya bersandarkan pada nasib semata-mata tetapi haruslah didahului dengan usaha yang jitu tanpa kenal erti putus asa.

Persoalannya, mampukah para pelajar menunaikan hasrat untuk menjadi produk graduan yang berkualiti? Bukan sahaja kecemerlangan yang tertumpu kepada pencapaian akademik tetapi juga keterampilan mereka dalam mengaplikasikan ilmu pengetahuan agar dapat membentuk suatu pakej graduan yang lengkap?

Terutama sekali ialah graduan yang mampu untuk memenuhi peluang pekerjaan ataupun mampu berdikari apabila tamat tempoh pengajian.

Apabila kita ingin membicarakan tentang universiti sebagai gedung ilmu dalam melahirkan produk graduan berkualiti, sudah semestinya ia melibatkan bukan sahaja kecemerlangan akademik malahan beberapa aspek lain yang turut diambil kira.

Graduan berkualiti haruslah memiliki kombinasi beberapa aspek yang menyokong kecemerlangan akademik seperti aspek kepimpinan, berwibawa, karismatik, bermaklumat serta sentiasa peka dengan perkembangan dan keadaan semasa.

Elemen ini perlu ada dalam setiap bakal graduan jika mereka mahu terus bersaing dalam perebutan pasaran kerja di masa akan datang. Kehendak pasaran kerja yang senantiasa berubah dan kompetitif amat memerlukan tenaga kerja yang bukan sahaja terpelajar malah calon yang mampu untuk memikul tanggungjawab organisasi dalam arus globalisasi.

Ciri-ciri khas ataupun tambahan yang ada pada seseorang graduan itu akan diambil kira. Pihak majikan kini telah bijak untuk membuat pilihan terbaik buat mereka. Graduan yang cemerlang dalam akademik tidak lagi berada di tempat yang selesa di mata majikan kerana mereka mempunyai tanggapan bahawa ‘terbaik’ bukan lagi diukur dengan kecemerlangan akademik semata-mata tetapi lebih daripada itu.

Para bakal graduan dinasihatkan harus mengisi ilmu yang secukupnya semasa berada di menara gading. Mereka harus peka dengan gelombang teknologi maklumat dan komunikasi (ICT) yang kian maju bercambah dan wujud ketika ini. Ketinggalan adalah suatu petanda buruk bahawa mereka mungkin akan tercicir dalam persaingan bidang kerjaya yang ditawarkan.

Begitu juga dengan tahap penguasaan bahasa Inggeris amat penting dan semakin diperlukan dewasa ini. Kelemahan dalam menguasai bahasa Inggeris akan memungkinkan pakej yang mereka miliki tidak lengkap atau tidak memenuhi kriteria dalam pasaran kerja. Kebanyakan penemu duga akan cuba memastikan bahawa calon haruslah mampu untuk berkomunikasi dalam bahasa Inggeris.

Ini adalah menjadi keperluan sesebuah organisasi itu dalam menghadapi dunia tanpa sempadan dan arus globalisasi.

Segala kemahiran ini dirasakan perlu kepada semua pelajar institusi pengajian tinggi (IPT). Ini adalah kerana suatu ketika dahulu, terdapat banyak pendapat dan suara dalam membincangkan mengenai isu graduan menganggur di Malaysia. Pelbagai kritikan dan tak kurang juga pendapat yang dilontarkan dalam membincangkan isu ini. Ada yang melahirkan rasa marah, kecewa, simpati dan tak kurang pula kata-kata nasihat. Semua ini adalah baik jika diukur dari sudut positif iaitu untuk memulihkan keadaan yang dirasakan agak bercelaru.

Oleh yang demikian, bagi mengelakkan isu ini kian menular, pendapat mengenai kebanyakan lulusan universiti senang atau mudah untuk mendapatkan pekerjaan selepas tamat pengajian harus dikikis. Para pelajar harus memupuk azam atau nafas baru dengan mengatakan bahawa kejayaan hanya akan diperoleh seandainya mereka lengkap dengan segala kecemerlangan, baik dari sudut akademik mahupun aspek di luar akademik seperti yang dinyatakan tadi. Ini adalah dirasakan perlu bagi mengubah tanggapan bahawa graduan berkualiti bukan hanya diukur dengan kecemerlangan akademik semata-mata bahkan dengan sokongan beberapa kebolehan lain yang mampu diperoleh dan telah pun diaplikasikan semasa berada di kampus.

PTPL....My sister's new life..

About 4-5 days i did not update my blog.It is not because I am lazy,but at my hometown there is no internet connection in my house.But,if I at MMU,I can use the internet whenever I want.

Today is the registration day for all PTPL freshies including my sister.Now,she is in college.Not anymore a student that always wearing a school uniform.I think the best moment for all students in Malaysia is after their finish their SPM examination.We don't have to go to school anymore and wake up in the morning as early as 6 am..Ok la..it's time for me to go back..Bye!!

Perompak hampa silap larikan mesin deposit cek

BUKIT MERTAJAM 9 Ogos – Tiga perompak wang dari mesin juruwang automatik (ATM) di sebuah bank di Jalan Aston, di sini hari ini hampa apabila mereka tersilap melarikan mesin deposit cek, bukannya mesin berisi wang seperti yang dirancang.

Selepas berhempas-pulas mengeluarkan mesin seberat 300 kilogram (kg) itu dengan menariknya menggunakan kenderaan pacuan empat roda melepasi 12 anak tangga di hadapan bank sehingga ke jalan raya, kumpulan perompak tersebut ‘berputih mata’ apabila menyedari ia rupa-rupanya mesin deposit cek.

Kecewa dengan kesilapan memalukan itu, kumpulan perompak berkenaan akhirnya meninggalkan mesin tersebut begitu sahaja di pekarangan bank sebelum melarikan diri.

Ketua Siasatan Jenayah Ibu Pejabat Polis Seberang Perai Tengah (SPT), Deputi Supritendan Chor Ah Sing berkata, dalam kejadian kira-kira pukul 3.30 pagi itu, kumpulan perompak tersebut memecah masuk bank dengan memakai topi keledar bagi mengelakkan muka mereka dirakam kamera litar tertutup (CCTV).

Beliau memberitahu, salah seorang daripada perompak berkenaan kemudiannya mengikat mesin tersebut dengan jaring menangkap ikan sebelum menariknya menggunakan kereta pacuan empat roda jenis Mitsubishi Storm yang dipandu rakan mereka di luar pekarangan bank.

‘‘Bagaimanapun, ketika cuba mengangkat mesin seberat 300 kg itu ke dalam sebuah lagi lori yang dipandu rakan mereka, kumpulan perompak menyedari mesin tersebut bukan mesin ATM tetapi mesin deposit cek lalu meninggalkannya begitu sahaja.

‘‘Polis juga percaya mereka menghadapi kesukaran mengangkat mesin itu kerana terlalu berat. Mereka segera melarikan diri apabila mendapati pengawal keselamatan dan orang ramai yang melalui kawasan itu mula menyedari kejadian tersebut,’’ katanya ketika ditemui di tempat kejadian.

Ah Sing berkata, ketika kejadian, pengawal keselamatan berada di ruang lobi utama bank.

Katanya, enam anggota polis dari Jabatan Forensik IPD SPT dikejarkan ke tempat kejadian untuk mengambil beberapa sampel cap jari.

‘‘Belum ada tangkapan setakat ini tetapi kita masih menyiasat dari pelbagai sudut bagi mengenal pasti identiti dan memburu kumpulan perompak berkenaan,’’ katanya yang tidak menolak kemungkinan kejadian itu didalangi sindiket rompakan bank yang aktif bergerak di negeri ini.

Sementara itu, pengawal keselamatan bank berkenaan, Mahathir Shaari, 59, berkata, dia hanya menyedari kejadian itu selepas mendengar pecahan kaca yang sangat kuat di luar pekarangan bank tersebut.

‘‘Saya bergegas ke hadapan untuk melihat apa yang berlaku dan terkejut melihat pintu kaca bertaburan dan ternampak sebuah mesin tergolek di bawah tangga.

‘‘Saya amat pasti, mesin bank itu diikat dan ditarik menggunakan sebuah kereta Mitsubishi Storm berwarna gelap yang menunggu di luar bank,” jelasnya.

Menurutnya lagi, dia nampak perompak berkenaan melarikan diri bersama lori dan kenderaan pacuan empat roda tersebut tetapi tidak mampu bertindak apa-apa kerana tidak bersenjata.

Friday is the last day for MMU students to attend their lectures and tutorials.Why this is their last day??For sure we also want to have our vacation..Hehehe..Mid term breaks for this semester about 1 week.It's not too long but at least we can relieve our pain after 8 weeks struggle with lectures,tutorials,books and attendances.Now,this is the time for us to relax and for those who got money,maybe this is the best week to have a trip with family and friends arounds Malaysia.

For me,just simple..Today I will wash my new house and then tomorrow evening we will move in .After that,I go back to my hometown and release my tension by playing football with my brothers and maybe buy a dvd and then watch it!!Maybe I want to watch the pirates story..Pirates of The Caribbean..

Malaysia's education system needs catching up: Economist

MALAYSIA’S education system is expected to rate “honourably well” in the global competitiveness report that will be released next month, but it has a lot of catching up to do in terms of its secondary and tertiary segments, warned a leading economist.

Augusto Lopez-Claros, chief economist and director of the global competitiveness programme at the Geneva-based World Economic Forum, described the country’s current education levels —including the English proficiency level, as still low by international s tandards.

“Don’t compare your achievements vis-à-vis 20 years ago, but that of the (education) standards of other economies,” he said at the Global Leadership Forum in Kuala Lumpur yesterday.

The Global Competitiveness Report 2005/2006 will be released next month.

The Global Competitiveness Index looks at 90 variables in the calculation for the competitiveness for 125 countries and weighs factors differently depending on the stage of a country’s development.

Lopez-Claros said Malaysia should look to South Korea, Taiwan and Israel as benchmarks, saying that these countries are relevant competitors in terms of size and population and in terms of what they were 30 years ago, their experience and what they have done differently.

“For South Korea, it has put in far more emphasis on education and training than Malaysia judging by the school enrolment rates, quality of the universities, level of resources its government has put behind education and boosting the training of the labour force,” he added.

This is evident looking at South Korea’s transformation from an agriculture economy (US$3,800 GDP per capita) to a high technology power today (US$20,000 GDP per capita), which acts as a successful story with lessons for the rest of Asia and the world.

Israel, he added, also evolved from a major citrus exporter to a high technology power house due to its enormous investment in education as well as close collaboration between the business and university commun ities.

Economies like Brazil, he said, which thrived 30 years ago before being overtaken by others, need this kind of cross feedback between the universities and business comm unity.

“Malaysia too needs to be vigilant because other countries are moving quickly finding niches, cooperating with each other.” Countries have to be vigilant, looking at their history but also over their shoulders what other countries are doing.

As economies become globalised, what the other countries are doing is becoming more and more important.

Johor Hits It Big:Abdullah’s baby, a super corridor in south Johor

JOHOR BARU: The Prime Minister arrived here in a take-charge mood yesterday and made the biggest announcement the country has heard from him this year since the Ninth Malaysia Plan: Johor is the new growth engine for Malaysia. It will create a million new jobs over the next two decades.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi picked the southern State to lead the way as the first of four new power-corridors in the country, including Sabah and Sarawak.

They are aimed at magnetising billions of ringgit of global investment to sprout jobs and growth for the nation.

To kickstart this new engine, he said that foreigners were ready to invest RM15 billion in the new initiative, dubbed the South Johor Corridor (SJC). It will be a priority development by the Federal Government under the Ninth Malaysia Plan.

His announcement, made in an off-the-cuff speech at Senai Airport to a crushing crowd of 5,000 supporters, was greeted with thunderous applause.

"This is for the people of Johor. Let them hear it first from me. I want Johor to develop and prosper just like in the old days under rulers like Sultan Abu Bakar, who is the founder of modern Johor," declared Abdullah.

He said when fully developed, the super corridor could surpass Klang Valley as the nation’s number one growth destination and even give neighbouring Singapore a run for its money.

The Prime Minister will take personal charge of the project as the joint-chief of a new body expected to be created specially by Parliament, called the South Johor Authority. The other chairman of the authority will be Johor Menteri Besar Datuk Abdul Ghani Othman.

The proposed authority is aimed at giving focus and direction to the separate plans of private investors, which sources told the New Straits Times involves billions of dollars to be pumped into prime land stretching over 10,000 hectares, more than twice the size of Singapore.

Sources told the NST that Middle East investors are poised, together with Malaysian companies and private investors, to invest billions of US dollars in a wide range of breakthrough projects.

These include an education hub with state-of-the-art facilities supported by world-class brand name universities. Also on the cards is a medical centre of excellence, with top-end private hospitals and research facilities.

Tourism, already a big earner for Johor, is to get a bigger push with higher-end hotels to draw big-spending visitors.

In pushing for faster growth in Johor, Abdullah, who is also the Finance Minister, said the new super corridor would be developed the same way as Hong Kong and Shenzhen in China were, to emerge as special economic zones and the focus of investors.

The SJC’s sprawling physical presence will stretch from the Causeway to Gelang Patah, embracing Senai Airport and Johor’s two biggest ports.

Abdullah is confident the SJC can compete for business and investments from around the world with its strategic location and built-in advantages.

"Let me stress that this is my idea. It did not come from anyone else. It is my own vision and plan to create this super corridor in south Johor to make it the nation’s premier growth centre," he said.

New administrative capital by next August
JOHOR BARU: The South Johor Corridor will include:

• Nusajaya: The Johor Government’s new administrative capital, which is now under construction and is due for completion by August 2007.

Spread over 130ha and costing RM400 million, it will have a new legislative assembly complex and State Secretariat and enclaves for State and Federal Government offices;

• Danga Bay: An integrated waterfront city covering 809ha, which is being developed in phases over 15 years.

• Cybercity: This will be Johor’s version of the Multimedia Super Corridor with the creation of a Cyberport at the 30-storey Menara Sara- wak here. A cybercity will be built in Kulai;

• Logistic hub: The port of Tanjung Pelepas, Senai Airport and Johor port in Pasir Gudang will be synergised to provide air, sea and land/rail links to woo multinational corporations; and,

• Senai-Desaru Highway: This project will open up Johor’s southeast coast and spur development in Desaru, where Korean investors will spend RM2 billion building a resort.

Mechanical Vibrations is the toughest subjects among 4 subjects that I've taken this semester.It involve a lot of calculation and the hardest part is the calculation is very-very long.Sometimes it takes 2-3 pages to solve 1 question.Last lab with my lecturer, he said that the FFT Spectrum Measurement machine is cost about 1 proton car.Can you imagine that!!Fuhh..it's vey expensive!!
